I had a wedged compression fracture at T7-T8 majority T8. A month and a half after my Kyphoplasty to repair where the fracture was now has bone spurs on the anterior part of the spine. I keep feeling as if I’m being shocked from it catching nerves. I’m on Zanaflex 4mg at nighttime, and recently put on Lyrica 50mg 3x’s a day. Despite taking the Lyrica I am still in the same amount of pain, and depending on what I’m doing I’ll get random muscle spasms that can’t be controlled. During the day I know I have to kind of tough it out, but at nighttime before bed after doing things during the day it’s even harder to somewhat relax because of the amount of pain I’m still in. As far as the Zanaflex goes it only works for about half of the night which I know it’s a short acting muscle relaxant, but I can’t take Flexeril. I just turned 30, and got diagnosed with osteoporosis after doing my bone density scan before insurance would approve my Kyphoplasty for the fracture. I’m just trying to see what other options are out there that may be a better option(s)?!
