My doctor increase my dose of Ozempic from 0.5 mg to 1.0mg weekly. Since then my 10mg Ambien that used to work has now completely stopped working. The only thing I can think of is that the increase dose has limited my ability to absorb the once fast acting oral medication to the point where the Ambien no longer works as prescribed
Does Ozempic drug have interactions on Ambien oral tablets?

Yes, absolutely! I am on 5 mg of Ambien and when I took my first shot of Ozempic, I was up that night till 4am, I usually fall asleep in 10 minutes. Ozempic works by slowing down your digestion and therefore your ambien doesn't metabolize right away. That's when I knew I couldn't do the Ozempic.
Hello!
This is the Interaction Report for your two medications:
https://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=2333-1544,3878-18733
It doesn't mention any problem with the combination.
Have you talked to your doctor about this? You might also ask a pharmacist... they're pretty well informed about medications and potential interactions.
