I really want to give semaglutide a chance. I can deal with nausea and vomiting. I am just trying to figure out how the drug works and how it could affect your thyroid so negatively to cause cancer. I am suppose to do my first injection this weekend. I am very concerned about the cancer risk more than anything else. Was it all just lab rats or did actual patients develop thyroid cancer during clinical trials? Does anyone know?

Answers
It is my understanding per research, it’s only been lab rats thus far. I started this medicine 6 weeks ago. I have only had constipation as a side effect. Am on 0.5 dosage now.
