These kind of nasal sprays work by causing your blood vessels to constrict to prevent the leaking of fluids from your blood vessels to your nose. However after extended use your blood vessels will stop reacting to the medication and it will actually make your condition a lot worse. Limit use to 3 days at a time every 2 weeks or so. Ask your doctor about using Flonase, it usually is very effective with minimal side effects and it is recommended for long term use.
