Is it normal to have get a period after staring lupron depot?

I was wondering the same thing I got diagnosed with endometriosis and use the depo lupron shot for pain control. I received the shot 2 months ago and never had my period. Then late last night I noticed I had started my period. Since the shot is supposed to shut down your ovaries I'd imagine it isn't normal im making a doctors appointment and will keep you posted
