My Nexplanon will be a year in on August 3rd. I had a period or two in the beginning then nothing at all until the first week of July when I had some brown discharge. Sometimes it had a little bit of red to it, but mostly it was brown. The second week of July I didn't have any discharge and then it started back up again. The second time sometimes it's been more red than before, but still very dark brown and twice now a thick string-like piece came out too (sorry about the graphics). A ton of people said they've had brown discharge too or "old blood" so you're definitely not alone! I've also had some cramps. I'm going to message my gyno tonight to see what he thinks I should do. You should be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to your doc or let them know what you're experiencing!
I've been on the implant for over a year and haven't had a period in 10 months. Now I've been having a very light period for 2 weeks. It varies in color from pink, brown and light red. My boobs seem to be getting bigger and are very sore. I've been getting lower abdominal pain and cramps. Occasional nausea and loss of appetite. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this and if they found the cause??
I feel the exact same! Maybe it's just side effects?
