... how my entire life fell apart once I started taking cymbalta. I have done countless hours and days of research and it seems to work wonders on some, and be like it was for me. I will never get back the pieces of me that I lost, or how this pill changed the way my brain is wired, I don’t even know myself anymore and honestly am just trying to get something back
New here, just weened off cymbalta after a couple years, if my life was a graph chart it would show?

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a hard time with this! Like Seniorfemale asked, why did you continue taking it? How long ago did you stop your medication or did you have tapering dose schedule to follow from your doctor? Was your doctor aware of the problems you were having and still having?
If you're not seeing a doctor, or if you don't like the one you have, I'd suggest you find another doctor, preferably a psychiatrist.

To be honest the medication made me feel like the way I was acting was normal, it was a pain management PA that had prescribed it and she spoke very highly about it, that’s the worst part of meds like this is they change the way you perceive reality as well as their prescribed reasons. I did get a new doc and over the last few months I tapered, which was also terrible and now I am trying to pick up the pieces

It works very well for me at a low dose of 40mg daily for mild anxiety.
I’m surprised you stuck with it for so long. Are you on something else now?

It was for spinal damage and nerve pain, funny enough there is zero difference without it, besides mental clarity for the first time in forever, I was given another med for pain
