Will this go away and what can be done? First time on medication for anxiety.
Supposed to increase to 50 mg after one week. Is a slower increase better?
New start on 25 mg Zoloft. After 4 days starting to feel no emotion, no focus.

Hi, Pepsi!
Side effects generally resolve within days to a couple of weeks and they usually lessen over a short period of time. There's not much that can be done about them but to try and just get through this initial period of time as your metabolism adjusts to the medication.
25mg to 50mg is the recommended starting dose and increases are usually done at one week intervals... but if you're still feeling the side effects let your doctor know before you increase your dose. You may just need some extra time to adjust.
Hopefully you should start to feel some beneficial effects in the first week or two but it can take as long as 6-8 weeks for the drug to become fully effective.
Zoloft is an excellent choice for anxiety disorders so stay positive and watch for those improvements!
If you have questions or concerns along the way you can post here again any time, okay?
