I've been diagnosed with slipped disc and prescribed naproxen 2x 250 mg twice a day, so 1000mg a day. After a week another doctor prescribed me 500mg tablets and because I didn't realised i was still taking 4 tablets a day, so 2000mg a day for 5 days! Until now, when I just noticed. I haven't noticed any side effects or anything but I'm worried now that it was too much for so long and I can have some "invisible " side effects?
Naproxen 2000mg/day for 5 days, could it make some damage?

Eewaw; Really if you could take the first without any problems the main thing is to try and always take this with food to help protect your stomach from any damage such as ulcers so also make sure they go down and not stuck in your throat. Which rarely happens anymore because of the specially coated tablet. But now if you were taking both of those at the same time that is getting a bit high but over that period you have done no damage don't worry about it. So make sure you read the label well there are about 3 strengths and it does get confusing. But you are going to be just fine. Glad it is helping your slipped disc. But if you need to go over the directions again with the Pharmacist before you take it home. good luck
