something I've been taking for 25 yrs now--zanax-If meclizine makes you sleepy and tired then I am afraid to take the two togeather. I haven't started the meclizine because of this as I don't want to not be able to function. There's nothing that says anything about ringing of the ears in anything I've read. Is there any ringing of the ears with anyone or do you have something else for the ringing as I feel disoriented by the ringing and have been for a month now.
My ears have been ringing for a month now and my doctor told me to take meclizine along with?

Yes, Antivert does help ringing in the ears. I too take it, as I have Meniers and ringing is part of my disease. It works great for some and not at all for others, Xanax is used to calm you down. As your physician knows that sometimes ringing is caused by stress.

I have ringing in my ears, for about 2 months, it's terrible, never goes away, sometimes it's louder. My regular Dr. is sending me to ear nose and throat Dr. at the end of March, but every minute is driving me crazy. PLEASE if you know of anything that would help, let me know DESPERATE

The doctor group that is doing research on this is House Ear clinic in Los Angeles. Maybe your doctor knows someone there.They are known world wide.

I have had ringing in the ear going on three years now never stop, have taken all the test that you can think of and nothing forund. i take meclizine when the ringing really gets bad and it calm it down for a few days but it never really stop.

Talk to your Dr. about adding a water pill to your RX.
Just so you know after 25 years Xanax you are hooked. Drugged by your Doctor !! This can cause many problems and mask other problems. I will not blame you, I blame the doctor. Maybe I am too hard on you. But you need to know. I call it as it is. I surely hope you all get well soon. I too suffer and I stay away from salt, this helps too.
