my muscles get very tight and my back pain worsens. i take oxycodone but still can't get the muscles to relax. the dr recently added valium to the mix to help them relax. is this a good mix?

Valium is one of the best true muscle relaxants. As the above poster said, you should not drink and dont do anything that you need to be alert for like drie until you see how you react. this combination can cause profound drowsiness in some. If you get extremely drowsy you may want to space the doses a few hours apart or just take them at night before bed.
I wouldn't drive or drink alcohol while taking those meds. But I was on Oxycontin and Valium at the same time and you just get a little sleepy. But read the side effects to make sure you know what they are and what to look out for. God Bless.
