I have been on and off Remeron as it works wonders for me but I have ballooned in weight and seems worse at 15mg could this be correct ?
I am loathed to go up to 30mg if the weight gain will be more than at 15mg but I get a better mental result at 30mg. Hope this makes sense. Many thanks
Mirtazapine - Does Remeron cause more weight gain at 15mg or 30mg ?

Hi, Mum!
There haven't been enough definitive studies done but several did conclude that weight gain with mirtazapine is not dose dependent. From an article in Med Ed 101 , Aug, 2020:
"While more research needs to be done to determine the exact trigger of the TNF-cytokine system activation in patients being treated with mirtazapine, it is unlikely that weight gain associated with mirtazapine is an adverse effect that is dose-dependent."
I hope this helps you some and I wish you good luck.
