Answers
Hi, Pauline!
How long have you been taking your mirtazapine? If it's been recently this may be a side effect which resolves over a period of a couple of weeks (mirtazapine is often prescribed for this particular side effect). If it's been more persistent you should let your doctor know and get professional advice before adjusting your dosage or stopping the medication.
It sounds like clinical depression which is an imbalance of certain neurotransmitters and receptor sites in your brain. This would cause your symptoms to recur when you're not on an antidepressant. You feel better then stop the drug and wham! you feel bad again. If possible you might consider seeing a psychiatrist who is well trained in prescribing this type of medication as it seems you're getting opinions from too many outside sources.
Keep in mind that depression can be a disease just like diabetes or cancer that needs to be treated appropriately over the long term.
I hope you're feeling better again quickly.
Sorry, didn’t answer this ,really on,of probably 5/6 years , only gone from 15 to 7.5 just over month now, which I’ve wanted to keep as sleeping well, but not so good on waking
