I have been suffering hair loss due to anxiety and stress. I was prescribed mirtazapine last year and I thought it helped, as my anxiety reduced. But at the same time my hair loss reduced. So not sure if that’s why I felt less anxious. However, in January my hair loss resumed and I became more anxious. My doctor then advised me to stop the mirtazapine and start sertraline. My hair loss continued and my anxiety increased. I have now been advised to go back on mirtazapine. My hair loss is now my main worry and cause of my anxiety. I do not want the mirtazapine to make it worse. Ideally, I want it to reduce along with my anxiety. Anyone had experience of increasing hair loss with mirtazapine?
Does mirtazapine cause hair loss?
