MiraLax - Is it ok to take Miramax everyday and if so for how long?

MY gastro had me on this for years he said its ok to take everyday for life. I recently had to go back on it because of same drug your taking.

I inadvertently solved my constipation problem. I started taking magnesium because I was having muscle cramps. I haven't needed a laxative since, lolol.

I agree with Chuck. You need to talk to your doctor. The doctor may recommend that you take Metamucil or Benefiber along with the Miralax. And yes, it could be taken every day if your doctor agrees to it..

Bill; They do use this on a regular basis, but you should ask your doctor too. Take it regular because it can take up to 3 days to work.My doctor has had me taken it daily since last april. The only thing is laxatives your body does get to the point that you have to take them to stimulate your bowels so its good for now but let your doctor know that this is the one your using with sucess But they normally use a stool softener also docusate taken daily. please just don't take my word call your doctor and make sure it is okay with him or her..
