As I left hospital with small bowel obstruction was rx'd generalac - have taken miralax - warm prune juice has helped - but generalac seems to build up a lot of gas - I am going to take a mylanta for gas - and see if that helps - - -
Get something with simethicone for the gas, like gas x . Is miralax helping you? I am not a fan of it, I don't see it do allot for people who are very constipated. I'd get the prescription filled. Generalac and lactulose are the same, there are many different names for it but lactolose is the generic.
