I have panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Without meds, I feel like im constantly hooked up to an electric generator. I can't think, I can't function. I have been taking 2mg of Klonopin a day ( 1mg in the am, 1 pm) and it gives me full body and mind calm. It also lasts about 12 hours. I can take up to 25 mg of valium and I barely feel it. Others have the reverse experience, I suppose physicians aren't b.s. ing when they say every drug interacts with each individual's metabolism differently. To me, however, there's no comparison. Also, the long acting nature of klonopin helped me get off the xanax trap I'd been on for 5 years. If something happens and i have to skip a day or 2 of klonopin, I'm fine. With xanax, if I skipped one day I wanted to put my head through a wall.
Klonopin has saved my life.

1mg of klonopin or xanax is equal to 20mg of Valium. This is according to the benzo equivalency table and also the Ashton Manual provided he Heather Ashton who has decades of experience with benzos and getting people off them which is why people use the Ashton Method to come off of benzos and she has very precise tapers for each benzo using Valium and gradually switching over to Valium and she uses Valium as 0.5 of klonopin and Xanax and she states that 1mg of Klonopin or Xanax is equal to 20mg of Valium
She is a professor and has many licenses PHD and is a psychiatrist and spent most of her years dedicated to getting people off benzos and learning about them and how they work and compare and has over 40 years of experience with benzos amd getting people off of them and says that 0.5 klonopin and xanax is equal to 20mg of Valium. I have been on all 3 and agree with this claim as well. I was on 4mg of klonopin a day and asked to be switched to 40mg of Valium and found it weaker and it was different, more muscle relaxing properties and felt a little different but I went back to Klonopin cause it was stronger, my Dr told me I would probably wanna switch back because 40mg of Valium to 4mg of klonopin was like half my dose.
I went to a detox once and was on 3mg of klonopin a day and the Dr put me on 20mg of Valium in the morning 10mg in the mid day and 20mg at night and that was the start of my taper and he also told me that 1mg of of klonopin was same as 20mg of Valium
Sure if you have no tolerance Valium may seem more euphoric because of the muscle relaxing elements to it but when you take it daily it is not as strong as 1mg of xanax or klonopin
I’m on klonopin now 4mg a day and wanna switch to Valium my Dr said we’d have to get me down to 3mg of klonopin a day and then I could do 20mg of Valium 3x a day

.5 mg of clonazepam equals 10 mgs of valium so 1mg of clonazepam equals 20 mgs of valium this is done by using the benzodiazepine equivalency chart

I been on every PAM for the ages of 12 to date and i wish i knew about Natural calm magnesium citrus. Then i wouldn't have been on these drugs but getting to the point about 1mg clonazepam it's not equal to 10mg of Valium is not even close. Valium is the real deal the rest is just to make your brain stop thinking about your anxiety. So no 1mg of clonazepam is not strong my friend is a pharmacist and she said it's not even close to a 10mg. If a doctor said he or she would put me on clonazepam and take me off Valium i would report the doctor.

.5 Klonopin & .5 Xanax both equal 10 mgs of valium. I've been prescribed both and it wouldn't seem so. I've found valium to be more effective. But thats just me. You can confirm and find any other questions regarding equivalency for all benzos @ benzo.org.uk hope this helps with the anxiety.

I know of someone who was taking 2mg of clonazepam, and has now switched to 5mg of diazepam and they said they really couldn't feel a difference between the two medications. Mostly because having an anxiety disorder is mental and secondarily physical. It also depend on the patients CNS. They did say they felt more tired when taking the diazepam, whereas with clonazepam they felt more of a body calmness if that helps explain, but again all people are different as to how they will feel. If you do have any further questions call your Doctor or Pharmacist.

Do you know that all doctors or pharmacists would say yes because they would ask you for your name and there would be a notice to tell the patient anything.

0.5 klonopin is equal to 5 milligrams of Valium ... 0.5 of klonopin to me feels so much weaker than if I took a 10 milligram valium only take as prescribed or don't take it at all withdraw is hell. everybody is different I weaned off klonopin by cutting the dose in half eacheach week so by the time you're down to point 25 milligrams of klonopin then you could stop if you feel any anxiety or panicthen it is more likely to be physical or mental not withdrawal

I was taking 4 mg of Klonopin per day for more than 22 years. I was forced to go off of it in less than 4 months and the withdrawals were pure hell. I had a procedure done today and was given 20 mg of Valium. This was 6 hours ago and I slept for 2 hours. I am so weak, uncoordinated, difficulty walking, sitting and vision problems. I have to agree that .5 mg of Klonopin is equal to 10 mg of Valium. 1 mg of Klonopin NEVER made me feel like this, it's just awful.

in no way shape or form does 1 milligram of klonopin equal 20 milligrams of Valium.The effect of 5 milligram valium is equivalent to 1 milligram of klonopin. As far as the effect. if I go take one milligram of klonopin I would feel it if I took 20 milligrams of Valium I would feel much stronger

in my experience 1 milligram of klonopin is equivalent to a little more than 5 milligrams of Valium and a little less than 10 milligram valium. if you want to try take a 0.5 milligram of klonopin then wait 24 hours and try a 10 milligram valium you will notice the10 valium is much stronger. and as far as the rest of you if you are going to mix medications of any kind don't ask us on the internet call your doctor or call your local pharmacist don't be a dumbass

My doctors (more than one) prescribed 3mg of Klonapin daily to reduce anxiety-exacerbated asthma, as I had severe condition of this. I took this dosage for 11 years and managed the anxiety very well. A new doc wants to help me lower and stop the Klonapin - according to him, it is extremely difficult - extremely - to come off of, especially after several years. He told me 1mg Klonapin = approx. 20mg Diazepam (Valium). I do clearly remember he said 'approximately'. Obviously, dosages affect people differently, and some of that depends on duration, and an individual's own nervous system, etc. I, however, have found that 60mg of Valium to be a bit weaker of an effect on me than 3 mg Klonapin. But, yes, my doc told me 1 mg clonazepam = approx. 20 mg Diazepam.

Getting all different answers,what is the equivalent of 2mg of clonazepam,to the amount of valium,I know that they are different effects,just want to know the equivalent in valium.proper answers only please.Much appreciated :-)!!!

This is so wrong 1mg clonazepam = 0.5 mg not 20mg if that was true everyone would be on 1mg of clonazepam. Stop with these people BS
