My question is if metoprolol ER 25 mg can cause a person to have a high blood glucose reading. I take this dose of 25 mg for a long time and I have my A1c very high and fasting readings above 100 can be due to this medication?
Metoprolol ER 25 mg can elevated glucose?

Hi, Fidel!
In the literature metoprolol has no reported metabolic side effects such as hyperglycemia. Are you taking diabetes medications too? If you have diabetes it seems like it's not regulated and I would suggest talking to your doctor about it.
