I just started taking L-Methylfolate about a week ago. My question is, do most people take this alone or with other anxiety/depression meds? I was on Viibryd for a few years but couldn't get over the fact that I was feeling brain fog and fatigue all the time. I decided to stop taking the Viibryd and now I only take Hydroxizyne for anxiety. Should I get back on the Viibryd or should I see results from just taking the L-Methylfolate?
L-Methylfolate alone or with other meds?

My advice is to wait and see how you feel on just the L-Methylfolate and Hydroxizyne. Please make sure You avoid foods that have added folic acid as that might block the effects of the L-Methylfolate. You may have to dose the L-Methylfolate at up to 15 mg per day. If after a month or two you don't feel as well as you'd like You may wish to consider resuming Viibryd (assuming Viibryd significantly reduced Your depression in the past) but at a low dosage. I'd start at 10 mg and give that a full two months before considering going any higher. If You do need to increase the Viibryd don't exceed 20 mg per day if possible.
I agree with You. When I was on 40 mg of Viibryd I felt a little too sluggish and sedated. It's inexcusable that Viibryd isn't available in a single 30 mg tablet. I've titrated down from 40 mg of Viibryd per day to 30 mg (1 and one-half 20 mg tablet) per day, and am now on just 20 mg. It took me a long time with many attempts and living with "withdrawal" side effects before I got used to just 20 mg of Viibryd. I hope I am able to maintain this lower dosage over the long term. I also "pulse" L-methylfolate at 12.5 - 15.0 mg 3 times per week. I'm also on 50 mg of atomoxetine per day and 5 mg of buspirone 2x per day.
Take care for now and all the best.
