Meloxicam is a anti-inflammatory drug. should help with the pain, I don't think it caused a urinary tract infection that's not a side effect, you need to get checked out and see what's causing this, drink lots of water and cranberry juice and don't eat any sweet's that makes urinary tract infection worse, avoid caffeine, hope your feeling better soon, take care.
