Answers
Medroxyprogesterone is a a form of progesterone, a female hormone that helps regulate ovulation and menstrual periods. If your periods are irregular or have stopped completely for no obvious reason you may be given medroxyprogesterone for 5 to 10 days each month to mimic the natural rise in your progesterone levels. You should get your periods soon after stopping tablets. This may be tried for 2 to 3 cycles.
