I tend to get hives when I get hot or go in the sun. I noticed when I don't take my blood pressure pills (amlodipine) the hives are not as bad.
Does certain medication cause hives on skin?

The two could be related but it's hard to say. think the bp med blocks histamine but I would need to see more proof.
Cool water in a bath will give you relief from hives. Best wishes
