Seroquel (quetiapine) can cause elevated sugar levels in about 1-10% of users but actual diabetes mellitus is uncommon.
"Common (1% to 10%): Anorexia, blood glucose increased to hyperglycemic levels, thirst
Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Alcohol intolerance, dehydration, diabetes mellitus, exacerbation of pre-existing diabetes, hyperglycemia".
I was always advised to have blood work done periodically to monitor it.
