My 96 year old father has stage 3a CKD. He has a very low urine output even though he drinks fluids. And its dark. Why?

Some of the symptoms of CKD stage 3 may include:
dark yellow, orange, or red urine
urinating more or less frequently than normal

unexplained fatigue
weakness and other anemic-like symptoms
insomnia and other sleep issues
lower back pain
