I’ve been on Prozac for 15 days, it’s been very tough I’ve had some difficult intrusive thoughts, no concentration, memory problems, and at the beginning difficulty sleeping. I know most people say 4-6 weeks, but should i have already experienced some positives at this stage or will that come later on?
How long did it take you to benefit from Prozac for OCD?

Hi, chazzawazz!
I don't want to discourage you but some of what you describe could be the initial side effects of the medication... these should be subsiding as you begin to see some improvements. Two weeks is a little early to see any dramatic results so give it just a bit more time for your metabolism to adjust to the drug.
OCD is harder and more resistant to treatment than other anxiety disorders so it may take longer for your symptoms to completely resolve.
Hang in there... Prozac is a good choice for OCD and you should start feeling better soon now.
It was 3.5 weeks before I started feeling the benefits of my antidepressant . I felt worse before I felt better, unfortunately that is a common side effect in the first few weeks. I came here every day to read the reviews and found so much encouragement from them. You are not alone, there are others who have walked the path and their stories are encouraging.
Trust in the process and let us know how you are going.
