I was prescribed Flovent, Ipratropium solution and Singulair on a daily basis? Is this overdoing it? The Albuterol solution and Ventolin when necessary.
Added 3 May 2014:I was also prescribed prednisone 20 mg for 15 days to break the cycle? Is this OK?
Answers
Yes, you can use Flovent long term. It works best as a preventative when used regularly.
Fluticasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Fluticasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks. It will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
