I've been on Lexapro for a week and I don't know if its the stress I'm having or if its the medication making me getting angry more. Is anyone on Lexapro having the same problem with getting angry more often and worse?
Does Lexapro make you angry?

I have been taking Lexapro for almost 3 weeks and am having the same issue. I was hoping it would get better with prolonged usage, but so far haven't noticed a change for the better. Instead I am noticing that other emotions are heightened as well. I am scheduled to see my doctor on Thursday and will discuss it with her then. I don't feel that this is the right medication for me. You may be in the same boat. Don't let it go for too long, you need something that helps. I hope this helps and that you are able to find the right treatment for you.
I had the same issue when I tried switching to Wellburtrin from Lexapro ... I explained to the doctor and he agreed to take me off. I did not have that problem while starting or taking Lexapro, but I have noticed a increase in my anger now that I am reaching the end of my taper off of Lexapro., normally I am very much in control of my feelings of anger towards others behavior , now I find I have little tolerance ..I have also had a lot of tears and emotional ups and downs through out this attempt to taper , it seems some people have these issues going on and some people have them when going off ... with no rhyme or reason to it ! Some people have no side effects at all . Hope you can find one that works for you ... It certainly is not a one size fits all ! Good Luck to you , I found it helped to warn my husband and friends that the medication was effecting me and to please understand I don't mean to be so easily upset .
