My first day, I took it at night. My second day, I took it in the morning and felt extremely anxious and out of sorts all day. I do also have anxiety and depression, that are medicated. My migraine is chronic, and I am desperate for relief. Any advice?

I take Lamotrigine to prevent Migraines. My Neurologist has me take 3 25 mg tablets twice a day. I take three in the morning at three twelve hours later. I don't have any side effects with this medicine at all. I have taken it for eight years and it works well. I don't have depression or anxiety. I had to take a tiny dose of Anxiety medicine once or twice for major family emergencies. I noticed that as soon as the Anxiety medicine wore off, I felt Anxious. So I haven't taken it ever since realizing that. I had better luck just taking a Benedryl instead of an anxiety medicine during a family emergency. Eliminating caffeine from the diet works well to prevent Anxiety for some of my family members. I don't eat or drink anything with caffeine at all.
It depends on you. If you get drowsy it may be better to take it at night especially if you have anxiety you may be able to sleep through the anxiety. Let your body be your guide as to when to take it. Good luck!
