Some specialists will prescribe topical lidocaine for painful intercourse. It may cause a slight burning sensation initially, and after a few minutes feel more numb. Wait for fifteen or more minutes before intercourse to lessen any transfer.
Yes it can be applied.. depending on the amount u apply determines how long it’ll last.
I use over the counter lidocaine 4% for cliteral and vaginal pain.
It does help numb the discomfort. It lasts about an hour.
I use at night to help sleep and numb the pain.
Hi Kate, how did the lidocaine help? I have VERY painful sex, so i haven't had it for over a year. What percentage of lidocaine did your Dr prescribe?
Please tell me you found the answer as I am currently having my first herpatic outbreak and it hurts so bad. I ended up in the ER screaming in pain because I have a UTI which hurts and 3 blisters on my inner labia. I believe I am peeing acid that hurts so bad I shake and scream when I pee, and when I wipe it feels like I'm wiping with a Brillo pad
I woke up today and I swear to God I'm pissing razor blades! I found this numb 520 in my cabinet and I'm so desperate I rub some on my "little kitty in the boat". I'm not finding much answers if doing this is safe but, like I said, I'm freaking desperate! It's been on there for about 7 minutes I'm not looking forward to going to pee again but I know I'm going to have to so time will tell. I can tell a little something is happening it doesn't hurt as bad. I've been plagued with UTIs all my life so I'm hoping that this will give me some kind of relief so I can at least walk around.
Yes it may be used vaginally. My obgyn prescribed it for me to help with vaginismus (painful intercourse). It caused burning sensation initially, and after a few minutes felt more numb. My doctor recommended waiting fifteen or more minutes before intercourse to lessen any transfer.
I'm using the licensing hydrochloride jelly for pelvic exams and pay smears because they hurt but my question is I'm supposed to use the jelly on the outside of my vagina but I want to know if it will numb the inside as well and if I will feel anything during my exam?
Why do you want to use Lidocaine in the vagina?
Because sex is extremely painful.
I have this inching and rash on my viginaits really giving me a fit
