This stuff is a miracle for my eye condition, but the med itself is $50, co-pay for specialist $25, gas to specialists office $15, and a 1/2 days work missing $40 ... That's is expensive for me

This medication is a combination of an antibiotic and an ocular steroid. No, there is nothing comparable OTC. Generally this medication is not for long term use. Long term and over usage can cause a rebound effect which shows as increased redness of the eye, itching, pain and light sensitivity. Mainly you will see a big increase in the redness of the eye when trying to stop using after long term use. What condition do you have that you are using this medication for? Generally after a few weeks on the ocular antibiotic the bacterial infection should have cleared and then you need a different approach if you are still having symptoms.
