I've just recently been prescribed MEDROXYPROGESTERONE 10 MG to help regulate my cycles and I'm hoping to get pregnant. Is this still possible after taking or while taking MEDROXYPROGESTERONE 10 MG?

I have been taking this medicine for about a year now to help stop excessive bleeding. I recently have missed my
Period (6 -7 weeks late now). I’ve taken 3 pregnancy tests which all came back negative. I’m 45 years old so I’m not sure what’s going on. Am I pregnant? Why have I stopped my periods? Not going through menopause or anything. Please help!

I am drinking Medroxyprogesterone bc i was bleeding since march none stop so it help me stop the bleeding but i want to have a baby will i be able to have a baby if it help me

So I am new to this I just started taken provera 4 days ago cause I have not had a regular af for a little over a yr and when I did it was very light then stopped in 2 days, I have come to a conclusion that my Mirena that I had taken out a yr ago was what messed me up big time even tho the doctor told me I was very fertile. I am really hoping this provera helps me I amalso taken prenatal vitamins and I cant get clomid via amerigroup I dnt think. If someone had a similar issuse please feel free to metion and what happened with you thankyou I could use all the help in advice as I can thankyou

Hello. I got prescribed Medroxyprogesteron for 10 days & I'm on my 3rd pill. The reason I was put on it is because a few years ago I got put on the depo provera shot. I got one dose of it & quit. I didn't have my period for over 2 yrs so my doctor told me to take these & I should start my period shortly after I took all of them. My goal is to get pregnant quickly. I need some advice about this medicine & how it works & does is help people get pregnant?

The same exact thing happened to me! I took the Depo shot one single time and I didn't have a period for over a year, I finally got my period but it has never been regular since that stupid shot! I sometimes have my period regularly then I will skip a month or two. So frustrating since I am now married and trying to conceive! My doctor just prescribed me the Provera today so I'm hoping to get my period and hopefully conceive this month!

Hi, I was prescribed this medication in October 2009 for irregular periods. I took it for three months 5 pills day to 5 and quickly got pregnant in January of 2010. Hope this help

foor i just wanna wish you good luck and best wishes for a happy result! i had a hard time concieving tried for a long time so hope you dont mind id like to give you a useful tip dr gave me shortly b4 i got preg with my first one. put a pillow under your butt in the act keep knees up aprox for 5 min after and dont go pee directly after. hope you dont mind the comment best wishes for good news soon!

I will tell you this, I am pregnant after taking it and it is stuck in my left tube. This happened to me in 2008 and now it happened again my breast hurt so bad right now I am tired and nauseous. I already finished my period and you know what? My breast are so painful right now this is how I know it is another ectopic and I have nagging pain in my left tube. I felt it four days ago and it is just doing it again.

My test shows beta g level is <2, and i have taken 5 day a course of Meprate 10 mg medicine... Still my date not come yet its 9th day being starting this course.. please help me i dont want to be pregnant... Plz confirm still ther is an chance of getting pregnant

Hi foor,
Medroxyprogesterone is not a form of birth control,as you said it was prescribed to regulate your cycles and it is also used for absent periods or to help you ovulate properly.
It is possible to get pregnant while on this med as unlike birth control pills that stop you from ovulating or producing eggs in order for you to ovulate this med helps you ovulate so you may very well become pregnant while on this med or after taking it!

I'm in a similar situation. Could I still be pregnant is I took medroxuprogesterone and got my period. I ask only because I've been having pregnancy symptoms. I didn't know I'd medroxyprogesterone would have no edffect of I was pregnant or not.

Ive had these same problems. Id always felt like i was pregnant and my husband and i are trying to get pregnant. Im always scared that these pills will make me have a miscarriage if i do end up pregnant and keep taking them. Not sure if I should continue taking them

In response to Veeroniica, it very unlikely to get pregnant while on this medication however you have a higher chance of getting pregnant the days in which you don't take them and you happen to possibly have sex or possibly ovulate. If you do happen to get pregnant you need to stop this medication immediately as this medication thins the lining of your uterus and when you get pregnant that lining thickens because that baby attaches to your uterus in order to develop. Also FYI this medication is NOT a birth control method. Hope that helps.

No birth control is 100% effective, so I would say yes, you could still become pregnant.
