I think they're about the same strength with the same long-acting effects. Diazepam just has a wider variety of uses than Clonazepam's 3-6 uses. But that's just how they classified Clonazepam, it can be used for the same uses as Diazepam too.

As a general rule 10mg of diazepam or valium is equivelant to approximately .75mg of klonopin.
