I feel great n Wellbutrin, but ins will not cover wellbutrin anymore. I go downhill fast on bupropion, the drug my ins will cover. Any one have advice on what could maybe work to help bupropion be effective for me? Something to take with it? I feel so slow, sluggish not motivated. I was hoping maybe something to take in conjunction.
Insurance won’t cover name brand Wellbutrin any more?

I would suggest talking to your ins. plan an let them know how taking the generic isn't effective, the reason why they put you on the generic is it is cheaper and so they want people to try the generic 1st, you could also have your doctor do a prior authorization to the insurance company stating the generic is not working like the name brand does that might do the trick!! I'm interested in the answer to this question as well. Have you reached out to your insurance co. to explain the difference in the way you feel? I am in a similar situation with ADHD medication. Have you priced out paying out of pocket for the brand name and using some of the reduced price medication cards that you can find at the counters of pharmacies? It is so sad that insurance companies have all the power now in what we can and can't have. Maybe also reach our to the Wellbutrin manufacturer? I'm doing that with my medication issues. Best of luck to you. I hope to see some input here from someone.
