Hi, Avalonhope!
I wouldn't wait any longer before contacting your doctor because you should be seeing some significant improvements by now. You're already on a higher dose than the recommended maximum so I wonder if this the right option for you.
How long have you been taking it altogether? Have you gotten to feeling any better at all?
Best regards,

I’ve been on Lexapro for 10 years on 20mgs. Then, suddenly, anxiety reared it’s ugly head. Went to 25 then 30 a month ago. I’ve had some good days, then occasionally bad.
After 10 years the medication could be "pooping out" on you. It's not uncommon for the drug to start becoming ineffective after long term use.
Just a thought that you can talk to your doctor about.
I have some good days. Thank you!
Is there any special way I should take it. I take 15 at 6am and 15 at 8. I initially wake up sweating and panicking. It passes once I’m up
I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question sooner. How are you doing now? Any better with the anxiety in the morning?

Thanks for sticking with me. I did talk to my psychiatrist and he decreased my dose of Lexapro from 30 to 20. First day great, today I feel like I’m having withdrawal from Med. Have you heard of this. The web says withdrawal can be difficult.
It's a little surprising because it's not that big a drop but if you're sensitive and your metabolism was used to the higher dose you might have some symptoms with the decrease temporarily. Is your doctor advising titering down your dose to get you off the medication? Why would they reduce your dose to 20mg if the higher doses weren't effective?
Just wondering...

The 30 mgs sent me into a panic attack the worse I’ve ever had. So he raised my Remeron lowered my Lexapro and upped my Ativan. Still having terrible anxiety in morning. Sleeping better.
It's good you're sleeping... it's important. Best of luck with the new medication regimen!
Thank you
