I first took 2 mg off Abilify and couldn’t tell and effects. My doctor increased the dose to 5mgs and I now I have complete body aches as if I’m getting sick. Is there a problem with cutting the 5mg pill in half and taking it morning and night?
My increase from 2mg to 5 mg Abilify?

Hi, Stephen!
Side effects are quite common after a dosage increase... you're now taking more than twice as much of the drug as you were on the 2mg. These side effects generally resolve within a week to ten days or so.
It used to be said that you should not split a coated or unscored tablet because the amount of the drug in each half might differ. Now many doctors and pharmacists do feel it's safe.
If you have an unscored tablet I would recommend that you check with either of them for their professional opinion in your case
Regards, Wildcat.
