Can my husband drink 6 to 8 cans of beer while taken Eliquis for DVt on left leg?

There is no reported interaction with alcohol and Eliquis. However, all pharmaceutical companies will tell you not to take alcohol while taking prescription drugs. My answer is no. Alcohol intake/ beer intake should be avoided at all cost while your husband is on this drug. The side effects can get quite adverse.
