How effective is meloxicam after knee replacement sugery for pain abatement?

Hey hawkeyy,
It will help some as it is a non steroidal anti inflammatory for pain due to inflammation such as you get with arthritis. I suspect it will work about the same as ibuprofen for the pain. Not sure that it will work as well as opiate pain relievers after surgery.

I had it for the first month -- and found it very helpful. Less swelling generally seems to mean less pain. My knees seem to have a tendency to form Baker's Cysts and this drug really reduced the pain in my non-operated knee (which was suffering too... )
