I have bad hot flashes and can not ever seem to cool down once I have begun to sweat. I sweat on my brow, my back, and chest. I dont sweat bad under the arms or get clamy hands, just a steady sweat. Hiperhydrosis. Is there any relief??
How can I stop sweating, so profusly, while on methadone?

Take Centrum for Men and cinnamon for sweating caused from methadone treatment.

If you are a guy, opioids severely deplete testosterone. I used to get nuclear hot flashes. Since I started testosterone gel it has taken care of them.

Once in Olive Garden my wife could see the sweat on my head and arms. I had to go out back and strip above the waist in winter. There is a blood test your doctor can do to check it. They can also prescribe many different forms of testosterone. Shots are cheapest but I hear it is sort of like a roller coaster in effects. Gel is great if you have good insurance but is the most expensive otherwise.

Vitadone works wonders for sweating and cravings !! Also, MSM, Primrose, and Cayenne pepper!!! Oh don't forget fish oil... You will find comfort and relief taking these!! I do 3 times a day! Hope you feel better asap!

Im on 75 mg of methadone and sweat like crazy all over,when doing any kind of small exursion..showering a couple houres before an apointment so the sweats will stop by the time i have to be somewhere.even having sex is getting to be weird cause im sweating like crazy taking my shirts off!!! Ive been searching for answers on this for months.the one thing that pops up all the time is cinamon pills..i havent tried it but i am going to start on monday.ill let you guys know what happens...

Are ALL the products available on-line only? I dont have a credit card and so I dont order on-line anymore. I'd like to find something available a GNC or something in a store. Anybody know of any products available in the retail market? I take OxyContin/oxycodone and sweat like a prize racehorse!! Summer and Winter, at the slightest effort. I hate trying to do my hair because the effort of drying with a blow dryer, setting with an iron or straightener, all make me sweat so bad my hair saturates faster than I can do it and my makeup pours off so it is useless to even put any on most of the time. I feel like I sacrifice enough for chronic pain-do I have to sacrifice my looks too!!! It is SOOO gross to sweat so much all the time!

I hear ya girlfriend! Here in So Maryland it was 97 today and my hair was so wet and frizzy! All I have to do is lift my little finger and I start pouring sweat. I really do despise being on this Methadone.

There's a deodorant or cream my doc said y,day works at stopping sweats, 4 underarms, 4 hands. But I'm using this everywhere wen it comes!! My face!! Under boobs!! Lol u get it at Boots, its called - Aluminum chloride Hexahydrate. Haven't tried it yet, but maybe this helps

So I'm NOT nuts!! Yippee..I too sweat like crazy. My face is the worst, it's so bad I've had strangers ask "are you ok, your crying" omg its humiliating!
Forget styling your hair, my makeup will drop off my face!
I got my eyeliner tattooed on..love it. I have eyelash extensions because even waterproof mascara lasted a whole 15 min.

I take 45-60 mgm of oxycodone daily for chronic pain. Your description sounded as if I wrote it. The worst is after a shower; hair drying. Finish and sweat pours on my head. I never can go to a nice place without looking as if I was in a rain storm

I'm so glad to have some possible help. This is my first spring/summer on Methadone and I never knew it was this possible to sweat this much! There's no way I can leave the house sweating this much - I look like I am diseased, or very sick at the least. Thanks for the link Laurie!

someone mentioned this a few months ago and they suggested a supplement called vita-done. I have no idea where to get it, but they said their pain management doctor suggested it for the sweating. Try googling it as vita-done a d as vitadone, in case it doesn't have a hyphen. They wrote here to say it worked for them. Make sure you run it past the dr or pharmacist to make sure it won't interact with the methadone or any other meds you might take.

Glad to know i'm not alone in this. It's so embarrassing! I sweat profusely from my face only. It tried Vita-Done for a month and no luck. They charged me $30 for each bottle. I compared it with a multi-vitamin I had in my pantry and the ingredients and amounts were identical. I'll keep looking for a solution and post if I see something but just wanted to give a heads up about Vita-Don't. It's a waste of money.

Tell me about it!! And I seem to be the only one in my postcode with this problem!! Plus its always freezing here in Scotland !! U try explaining sweat wen snowing!! Lol but totally feeling ya!!
