I take 100mg of doxycycline per day, that day I CANT take ant-acids which significantly lower my hiccups, vomiting during sport and severe heartburn at random points of the day / exercise. It really affects my life, so 1- do I have GERD? I’m willing for more detail to include, 2- what else can I do? :) ( ps I take Quickies for the heartburn +gerd symtpms )

Seeing an internist or gastroenterologist would be a real help. It sounds like you have GERD, but you give me only a few sentences. I've had GERD for over 30 years. I do not know what Quickies are. Be precise when talking about important matters. OTC medications for GERD and daily heartburn are not enough. Famotidine (Pepcid) would be a good beginning. Omeprazole (Prilosec) is another -- both OTC, but you should see a doctor. These meds are not taken both at once. Try one of them for a spell and if it is not satisfactory go to the other. This may also help the hiccups. You should engage a primary care doctor (PCP) once a year at a minimum. I suggest an internist or your current PCP.
