I would not worry about the color since they most likely are from different batches when made, color difference happens. Whatever you do, do not give a broken tablet to your child as the other person said, this is time released and would cause an over dose effect if giving crushed or chewed. This medication is meant to release a little at a time throughout the day so to help with the ADD/ADHD Effects for 8-12 hours.
Concerta can not be used if the tablet has been broken, split or crushed. Concerta are a time release medication and splitting them or breaking them defeats the time release mechanism and could allow too much medication to be released at once and could potentially poison a child. Concerta pills should be only swallowed whole and never altered in any way. If your child cannot swallow them whole, then you need to talk to their prescribing physician about an alternative medication. Do NOT give a child broken tablets!!
