... for a lot longer, it just took that long to figure it out. He completed his treatment and then tested negative on the breath test over a month after completing the medication. However, he still have symptoms and they have never really gone away, they are just not as bad a before. Has anyone else continued to experience symptoms after treatment? He can hardly eat and is still very thin. When he does eat, his stomach acts up and often times he gets sick. He says smoking marijuana helps. As his mother, I find this hard to believe because I think the smoke must make it difficult for his stomach to heal. Two questions: Has anyone else experienced symptoms after a negative breath test? And have other people experienced relief of symptoms by smoking marijuana? Any other information anyone can offer is great. I just want him to feel better. He's 22 years old, has a medical marijuana license so he's legal and lives in California. I live on the other side of the country and trying to help. Thank you in advance for your help.

I've met a gastrologist when having this problem and it does help as long as you don't smoke with others because as you know h pylori is contracted through saliva and
Going through the same thing although marijuana makes me hungry and whet to eat everything, I believe marijuana worsens the pain for me, I have treated hpylori for about 3 times now but the pain isn’t going away, the heartburn goes away after each treatment, and then resurface within weeks. Can anyone help?

Hi there as for marijuana Im not really sure although it will be helping him feel hungry and with some of the pain is can see were your concern is. I also have had it really bad with h pylori infection lost alot of weight can't look at food never mind eat it I'm really embarrassed with the way I look into found the treatment made me worse and still feel terrible I am trying to be active and force feed myself it is not easy but that little bit of food makes a big difference on the way I feel I hope he gets better soon or if he is better can you please let me know what you did thank you ☺
I will say I struggled with a stomach ulcer caused by h pylori and smoking marijuana absolutely helped me. I live in Colorado and so it was an option. What the marijuana helped with was not necessarily healing the problem however, you have no idea what it feels like to be soooo hungry that you are in pain but sooo naseous that even the thought of food makes you want to throw up and the extra bloating and the irritation after you eat something that might have even the smallest trace of onions or lemon or something to irritate. If it wasn't for the marijuana I would probably never eat and be so sick I wouldn't be able to get anything done. I used to smoke in the mornings before I started my day and it would at least aid in helping me start my day right and eat something as well as id not completely reducing nausea at least reducing it tremendously. It's nothing to heal the problem but I'm sure it helps him manage his horrible side effects.
Cut gluten out of his diet. H.pylori shortens the Celia in your digestive tract. It'll take about three weeks for them to grow back.
I was diagnosed with h.pylori back in Nov and was treated for it. Still feel awful. Going to be doing the breath test or endoscope soon...
