I have recently been diagnosed with health anxiety which came out of nowhere I get so many physical symptoms like flu like pain and headaches and chest pain but have been checked out and I am completely normal. I started sertraline 16 days ago and mentally I am feeling better but still having to battle some of my physical symptoms of the anxiety will this pass or something I have to learn to deal with?

Answers
I’m almost in the same boat except I’m taking citalopram, and it did take a few weeks to kick in so try and be patient with the drug but I know how difficult that is especially with the physical symptoms, they’re overwhelming! But they should slowly start to disappear as the drug starts to work. Have a chat with your doctor and maybe they can put your mind at ease. Hope this helps and well done for getting help
