Just wanted to let you know I have experienced exactly the same thing since taking valdoxan and Ativan 2-3 times a week. Such bad breakouts on my forehead and chin I have never had anything like it.
Was wondering if it was a drug reaction between the 2 or possibly alcohol, then I googled saw your post stoped the Ativan and a week later the breakout is almost gone!!
Now it’s a hard road to stopping the Ativan I hope you managed?
Hi
I have been taking valdoxan for a while now - 8 months & never experienced acne taking it.
As for waking up early are you taking the valdoxan too early at night? Maybe try taking it a little later to see if you can sleep through. Good luck. I’ve been very happy that this medication has had no side effects for me, even when stopping it and then starting again
Thank you for ur response!!
I hope its not the valdoxan as i do like it! Have u ever been acne prone though? Fingers crossed it is something else. I take it at around 730.. maybe ill try for 8 what time do you take it??
I literally take it just before bed. I have it next to my bedside so I don’t forget. I’ll also add that this is the first antidepressant medication I have ever taken. It took me a while to agree to take it. I’m also a registered nurse so we are probably the worst patients. Lol. I researched everything before finally taking it and stressed myself out so much! I was worried about weight gain, loss of libido and the withdrawal symptoms once stopping that so many antidepressant medications have - happy to report though nil side effects at all! Only thing that I remember is that I felt really tired for the first few days however it quickly subsided. Also hard as there wasn’t much feedback from consumers when I started
Oh dont worry me too.. took a long time for me to agree but my depression just got too much! I completely agree i research everything and couldnt find much at all on valdoxan!! I was previously on mirtazapine which was great for sleep, but i could not wake up!
I would talk to your doctor.
Probably there is more to be said and dealt with in your situation. I do know that the Ativan is very habit-forming and I and others are detoxing off of it after developing a habit of it over the years.
All I know is speaking for myself I would be very careful about the Ativan as the process of detoxing it is turning out to be a long process.
At the end of the day this is all up to your medical professional.
