I have Glaucoma and have been taking Diphenhydramine to help me sleep but it is drying my eyes too much. I am looking for a better sleep aid.
What is a good sleeping aid with low side effects?

This sounds strange but it works for me. I saw it on the internet and tried it. Slice a large onion into thin slices and boil until soft. Drain. Add a little bit of butter if you want ( I don’t add this anymore ) and eat the entire onion. After 30 minutes a gentle drowsiness from the natural compounds found in onions will put you to sleep. Hope it works for you
Hi, off prescription, i have also used Melatonin in the past with good effects
I want to thank each one who has responded and I am going to try Melatonin.
I have tried Tylenol PM but that has Diphenhydramine in it that is no good for my Glaucoma.
What else have you tried?
I take melatonin time released.
