Glipizide is medicine that helps control blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 diabetes. It works by helping your pancreas make insulin.
How quickly glipizide works depends on how well your body responds.
When first treated it could take several weeks to several months to get the desired blood sugar readings. It is important that you follow your doctors instructions and pay special attention to your diet and exercise routine.
