How's her diet? It can be hard for older people to get food that isn't working against them. If she's eating a high carb diet with lots of sugars, pasta, white bread, cereal and such, a change to a low-carb diet rich in greens, fresh fruit and meat and cheese could help reduce both her HT and blood glucose.
But that BP is scary high. She should be working with her PCP on finding a med that works.
This is a question for your mother's doctor. I recommend you get in contact with her doctor as soon as possible. If her doctor is away, get in contact with another doctor.
If you cannot find a doctor, ask your pharmacist or a nurse for help in contacting one.
Do this as soon as possible. Do this today even if you are reading this on Saturday.
