I’ve been taking gabapentin for chronic crippling daily headaches since April 2022 I started low at 300 mg daily divided into 3 doses and worked my way up to 1800 mg currently, I’ve noticed a slight improvement in the severity of the pain and has made it more manageable but for the most part I still have daily headaches, some days are worse than others I am able to function slightly some days but other days I’m not, I am a bit nervous to increase to the next dosage as I don’t want to get myself to the max dosage and have no relief,
Has anyone had positive effects or relief at higher dosages,
Gabapentin for chronic daily headaches?

I take 3000 mg/day. Wow, that even sounds like an awfully big amount to me. I was taking 2700 mg/day but was upped another 300 at night. I know gabapentin has helped the nerve pain that I had without it. I'm afraid to not to take it because I don't want the pain. Everybody is different and maybe it'll help your headaches but I have headaches mostly all the time. I used to take the generic Excedrin headache meds but I'm on so many meds that I'm afraid of interactions.
