Any suggestions? I'm losing weight and my sugar is under control.(105-160 in morning)
I have to find an alternative to VICTOSA. The expense is too high for me?

There is no generic victoza but there is generic Byetta. Its an older drug from the same class. You might respond to it
I started Victoza in late 2015 and it worked well for me (though with a few gastric issues), at least as far as my diabetes was concerned. I had only been on it for about 4 months when my ins made it non formulary and I couldn't get it without paying more. My Dr switched me to Bydureon, which is the same class of drug, but only a once weekly injection. After a rocky few weeks while my body adjusted to the new med and it established itself in my system (it can take up to 8-9 weeks to get the full effect), I find I like it better than Victoza. It doesn't give me the gastric problems I had with Victoza and injecting only once a week is great. I feel that my insulin resistance has improved greatly since I started it. It's been almost a year and a half now and I'm off all insulin. Bydureon is the only diabetes med I take. My only complaint is that I didn't lose any weight with either drug. I have greatly altered my lifestyle to deal with diabetes and I'm sure that has contributed also.
