I feel worse than before I started it. Does it mean it’s not working for me? Or should I give it some more time? I’m literally lying down most of the day exhausted. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, Alexa!
Unfortunately for many people antidepressants may make you feel worse as your metabolism is adjusting to the medication. The good news is that these side effects generally don't last much longer than two weeks or so and you should begin feeling some improvements very soon.
Let your doctor know right away that you're having these problems. Depending on the dose you're taking you may do better with a temporary dosage adjustment to help you adjust more smoothly.
With this type of medication it's sometimes just a matter of essence of time until the drug takes effect but be sure to talk with your doctor.
Best regards and you should be feeling better soon now.
