I don’t know if this is a really stupid question or not but does anyone ever just want to cry (in a normal cry situation or feeling a bit down and sorry for themselves) and just physically can’t cry. i can cry at a dog dying on the super vet but anything real life i just really struggle just now. been on this medication for around 1 and a half years
This is not a silly question at all. Emotional numbness can be experienced by some people on antidepressants. I myself experiencing inability to cry on Paxil.
No, it's not a silly question, I know how you feel!! I have too and you know what, I just do just that! When anxiety comes over you it feel scary and my chest gets warm and I didn't feel all that til escitalopram. Then I hyperventilate you can feel it in your throat. Breathing and talking to someone helps bring you out of it. I've been taking it 21days omg I'm calling my doctor tomorrow and tell him that and reading the responses there are other options. Sometimes just crying makes you feel better somehow. Try to calm yourself down...
